JulyTech Sdn. Bhd. (Company No. 1061016-A), operating as Tunai Salon System ("Tunai", "we", "us", or "our"), is committed to protecting the personal data of our users, customers, and visitors in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding that data. It applies to all users of tunaisalon.com, tunaipos.com, and the Tunai Salon System software platform.

By using Tunai's services, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy.

  • Account information — name, email address, phone number, business name, and role when you sign up for Tunai
  • Business data — salon details, outlet addresses, service menus, staff information, and pricing that you enter into the platform
  • Customer records — client names, contact details, appointment history, and package balances entered by you as part of daily salon operations
  • Payment information — subscription billing details processed via our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers)
  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and feature usage to improve our service
  • Communications — messages and enquiries sent to us via email, WhatsApp, or contact forms

How We Use Your Personal Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Tunai Salon System platform
  • To process your subscription and manage your account
  • To send appointment reminders, receipts, and service notifications via WhatsApp and email
  • To provide customer support and respond to your enquiries
  • To send product updates, promotional offers, and newsletters (you may opt out at any time)
  • To comply with Malaysian legal and regulatory obligations including LHDN e-Invoicing requirements
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • To analyse usage patterns and improve our platform and user experience

We will not use your personal data for any purpose other than those stated above without your consent.

How We Use Your Personal Data

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your data with trusted service providers who assist us in operating the platform, subject to confidentiality obligations:

  • Cloud infrastructure providers — for secure data hosting and storage
  • Payment processors — to handle subscription billing securely
  • WhatsApp Business API providers — to deliver automated messages on your behalf
  • LHDN / MyInvois — transaction invoice data submitted to the Malaysian government's e-Invoice system as required by law
  • Analytics tools — anonymised usage data to improve our platform

We may also disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority in Malaysia or Singapore.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you close your account, we will retain your data for a period of 7 years as required by Malaysian financial and tax regulations, after which it will be securely deleted or anonymised.

You may request earlier deletion of your data subject to our legal retention obligations — see Section 07 for how to submit a request.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us in writing at info@tunai.io. We will respond within 21 days as required under the PDPA. We will not charge a fee for access requests, though an administrative fee may apply for providing copies of large volumes of data.

Tunai's services are intended for business owners and their staff. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
